Humans have evolved, developed and created magnificent facilities all around us to elevate our lifestyle. This has been a constant amalgamation of various habits, which have been useful to take our society forward. We have immersed ourselves so much with fitting into the society through ego, jealousy, and perfectionism. Human is the only living being on earth currently who is capable of thinking and making decisions for problem solving and troubleshooting. However, we need to ask ourselves as overgrown; over intellect, species that in spite of achieving everything have we achieved anything, which makes us peaceful and happy?

Social Media

Currently, 99% of the world is engaged onto the virtual world through Facebook Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, Instagram and others. This social addictive technology has been the biggest time consumer in everyone’s lives where constant staring at electronic screens has turned everyone to zombies. Decades ago when there was no internet or social media, I remember a time when family members used to meet and talk to each other, kids were involved in physical games such as soccer, football, cricket etc. Their brains and minds were focused, sharp, and tended to do one thing at a time to achieve success. This is what is missing in the current generation. The cognition levels have taken a high hit according to the latest research and quitting social media is becoming challenging for addicts. Life without Social Media means Life with Peace and Happiness.

Interruptions

Everyone lives his or her life in a routine fashion across the world. Priority lists, Reminders, To Do lists have become an essential part of our lives and adding to this are our mobile phones and other electronic devices, which we carry around with us. In our daily tasks, we find many distractions and interruptions such as messages, notifications, and unimportant mails, which make us, lose our focus from our current task to another task (which is not urgent). Prioritizing our tasks from urgent to non-urgent can make our working smooth and comfortable to deal with different challenges.

Perfectionism

Are we perfect or do we try to be perfect? Humans have an urge to perfect themselves in everything they do but to err is to human. This is a famous saying, which is true because we can be 99% perfect but not 100%. Somebody wants to be perfect in his or her job, somebody wants to be perfect in understanding, somebody wants to perfect in something else but it is OK to be not perfect. We focus our time and energy to channelize it for our perfection. If we do not achieve it, it turns to frustration and irritation, which leads to depression. Hence to be nearly perfect and be happy with our inner achievement leads to peace and happiness.

Multi-Tasking

Multi-Tasking is a habit developed by us over the ages and we try to be proud of it. Multi-Tasking definitely helps us get through many tasks at a time and we end up finishing most of it if not all. Focus, Productivity and Quality are traits, which count a lot in multi-tasking and could be impacted if compromised. Trying to chase multiple things sometimes is of no use and lead to tension and stress. If we can try to focus on one thing for the moment, it can lead to success and happiness.

Disorganization

This habit is common among all age ranges. Organization and Tidiness is a challenge, which definitely leads to mood swings and dissatisfaction. Disorganization affects the working of our mind according to the latest research, which affects our output on work and relationships with people. Imagine a world where everything is organized and our brain functions like an algorithm code going through each line solving it, wouldn`t that be wonderful ? Organization in our lives means Organization in our minds, which will ultimately be at peace.

You are the decider for your peace and happiness. These simple steps to follow will take you to a higher sense of achievement and satisfaction.
